“On the 25th of March I broke my leg skiing on icy snow. It happened in the village Stryn in Norway where my parents live. This record came out of the haze of painkillers and staying at Førde Hospital for almost a week with the added frustration of the fact that I couldn´t walk or move around as usual. I have been collecting material for some time for a record like this – woodwind sounds, soundscapes, and contemporary compositions of mine. Some of the edits and sequencing were done from the hospital bed. My afternoon skiing accident pushed the process forward and triggered a reason for me to finalize this production. Thanks to all the personnel who helped me from the icy snow track on a snowmobile via the ambulance and surgery to the hospital bed. Further thanks to the doctors, nurses and physical therapists. Thank you all!”
